IIT Madras has invited online applications for the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination, HSEE- 2011 to be held on May 8, 2011 for admission to its 5-year integrated M.A. programmes in development studies and English studies.
These programmes is allow the students to choose their discipline after giving them a wide exposure to the field of humanities and social sciences. During the first 2 years of the programme, students will be introduced to a variety of common subjects related to the two major disciplines offered from the third year. These common subjects enable the students to develop their appreciation of the multidisciplinary nature of fundamental concepts in humanities and social sciences, and leads them to choose professional disciplines. Each discipline has 23 seats.
Apply online through http://hsee.iitm.ac.in as per instruction, before January 19, 2011. January 19, 2011. Application fee is Rs.800; Rs.400 for SC/ST, PH and female applicants. Print-out of the application along with application fee and attested copies of relevant documents should be sent to The Chairman, HSEE-2011, JEE Office, IIT Madras, Chennai-600036, so as to reach the addressee on or before January 31.
